Mbuso’s primary focus is on strengthening DBP’s engagement with State-Owned Companies (SOCs), including Eskom and Transnet, where he leads strategic dialogue, high-level contract alignment, and long-term supply-chain collaboration. He represents DBP at national industry forums and working groups, ensuring conveyor-belt supply, compliance frameworks, and local manufacturing capacity remain aligned with South Africa’s critical industrial sectors.

He is regularly involved in engagements with DTIC and ITAC, contributing to discussions around localization, tariff structures, import controls, and industrial competitiveness. His leadership ensures DBP remains aligned with national policy and the regulatory environment shaping mining and bulk-materials handling.

As a senior representative in the mining sector—including Mining Indaba participation and media positioning—Mbuso leads enterprise-level negotiations and collaboration discussions with major mining groups.
